LIVINGSTON, NJ — A new fitness business is moving into a large space in the Shoppes at Livingston Circle, and is expected to open this summer.
Rumble Boxing, a popular adult group-fitness concept founded in New York City in 2017, is set to move in. Prashanthi Musapet, the franchise owner, said this month that she is looking forward to running classes seven days a week once the facility is fully open.
“No boxing experience is necessary before taking a class,” she said.
The brand is known for 45-minute classes consisting of 10 rounds each.
Musapet shared these details:
- Rumble Boxing was acquired by Xponential Fitness in 2021.
- Of the 10 rounds, five rounds involve upper-body boxing and five rounds incorporate HIIT exercises (exercises using a bench and free weights, cardio moves — jumping jacks, burpees, etc. — and core work).
- Every class begins with a 5-minute tutorial on the basic punches.
Rumble will also be participating in the Livingston Fitness Crawl this Thursday and Friday, run by the Livingston Community Partnership Corporation. (More details about Rumble’s participation are here.)
The Fitness Crawl allows residents to sample Livingston’s fitness businesses over five days (more details about the crawl are here).
